Underwood Hills

A diverse, in-town neighborhood consisting of single family homes, apartments, townhomes and condominiums, Underwood Hills is a growing neighborhood located on Atlanta’s Westside. Underwood Hills is conveniently located and just minutes to Downtown, Midtown, the burgeoning Westside, and to Buckhead. Walking distance to some of Atlanta’s best dining and shopping, the neighborhood is also super close to a number of parks, the Atlanta Belt Line, and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.

The Underwood Hills area first started as a neighborhood in 1902, when it was named Northside Park, but construction in this area — on the edge of the city — didn’t gain momentum until the 1920s. Many residents then were employed by the nearby Seaboard Coastline Railroad. Their brick and frame cottages and bungalows reflected modest lifestyles. Today, Underwood Hills enjoys a mixture of older, renovated homes and new construction. The proximity to some of the best that Atlanta has to offer has made it one of the hottest communities in Atlanta.
