After just one year of working together, The Perez Team was one of the top 5 small teams in their Buckhead office in number of homes sold! Shawn and Mary Rose pride themselves on providing Million-dollar marketing & customer service to all their clients in all price ranges. As a Mother-daughter team, they strive to treat their clients like part of the family. Their goal is to deliver quick & desired results while offering a friendly & hassle-free experience for each seller and buyer that they represent.
Shawn Perez
Professional
Shawn spent 23 years in local television, working in marketing and promotion for WXIA-TV, Atlanta’s NBC affiliate, where she earned several EMMY awards from the National Association of Television Arts & Sciences.
Shawn joined Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty in 2015. Her daughter, Mary Rose Perez, joined Shawn just a few months later in January 2016. After just one year of working together, The Perez Team was one of the top 5 small teams in their Buckhead office in number of homes sold! Shawn was named “Rookie of the Year” her first year in real estate, and has consistently been named a top producer. Shawn received the Phoenix Award from the Atlanta Board of Realtors in 2016, which is awarded to realtors who have met the board’s “top producer” criteria for 10 consecutive years.
Family
The daughter of a Navy pilot and a real estate consultant, Shawn grew up in Marietta, Georgia, and attended Sprayberry High School along with her three siblings.
She attended the University of Georgia where she received a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism with a Business minor from the Terry School of Business. Shawn was a cheerleader for the Georgia Bulldogs while in college, during what some would call the most exciting eras for both their football and basketball programs. A National Championship title for the football team was won during her sophomore year, and Dominique Wilkins led the basketball program to new heights, including a trip to compete in the National Invitational Tournament in New York!
Community
Shawn is an active member of the Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church where she serves as a Eucharistic Minister. She is a supporter of Christ the King Catholic School and her family is also actively involved with St. Pius X Catholic High School. Shawn is married to Sant Perez with whom she has 2 grown children, Katie and Mary Rose.
Mary Rose Perez
An Atlanta native, Mary Rose Perez has a true affection for the city she calls home, and enjoys helping others explore its many and varied communities. From Midtown to Downtown, neighborhoods like Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward, Morningside, Castleberry Hill, and Edgewood, to more suburban areas like Sandy Springs, Smyrna and Roswell, Mary Rose loves to discover and share the unique offerings of each community with her friends and clients.
Mary Rose attended Christ the King Catholic School, and is a member of The Cathedral of Christ the King parish in Buckhead. After graduating from St. Pius X Catholic High School, Mary Rose attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) where she earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration, and a minor in Spanish. At UofA she was an active member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
She comes to real estate from a sales background in IT solutions and office equipment and systems, where she earned several awards for production from her company. Mary Rose currently calls Atlanta’s West Midtown home and loves everything the area has to offer. She is an animal lover – an aunt to 3 puppies - and volunteers regularly at the Atlanta Humane Society. She is a member of the Perez Team with her mother, Shawn Perez. Together, they were 2016 Top Producers, and were in the top 5 small teams for number of units sold in Atlanta Fine Homes’ Buckhead office.
